my son is 9 months old! i can't believe it! time is flying by.

i decided it was time to update my mantle. it was collecting random things and was overall super ugly. for some reason my computer won't show the before picture, even though i've uploaded it twice from my camera. ?!?!?! i don't get it! anyways, before the 'fireplace' had one of those ugly fake wood gas things. i had my husband remove it and i painted the inside white instead of yucky black. 

 everything was mostly thrifted. those wooden thread spools took a long time to remove the thread! good thing my husband did it any not me ;) i thrifted the candle holder and glued it to the thrifted jar! the window picture had an ugly beach scene in it, so i removed that and used the cardboard pieces to modpodge the two fabric backdrops to cover the huge ugly mirror.

i thrifted that cool scrolly picture frame and removed the glass and sprayed it white. the man is from ikea and i thrifted that cool wooden sewing machine. i love how it turned out!

my son is growing so fast. i had bought this amazing dinosaur shirt from target and he has already grown out of it two short months later. so i reconstructed it with a brand new 18m onsie he fits into.

so cute! i can't wait for him to wear it now.

i'm obsessed.  are you on it? i saw this cool way to curl your hair with no heat. the headband style! so i tried it. i ended up brushing it out cause it was a bit to curly for me, i'm gonna do it with bigger chunks of hair next time. (this youtube video shows you how)

gosh time seriously flies. Loken is already 5 months old.

around 1 month old he lost all the hair on top of his head:

and every night; he laughs at getting naked:

so there's my son! he's going to be 21 weeks on monday. i can't believe it!

its been months!

i will update with pictures of my son soon. I lost all and PLUS some of my pregnancy weight! yes! i still need to tighten my stomach but since i never work out, i bought spanx instead :) haha. okay baby is napping, craft time!

Loken Royce was born June 27th, 2011 at 8:32 a.m. he was 8 lbs 5 oz and 20.8in long!

i went into labor @ 3am and i didn't think it was real til i started timing the contractions and they were coming every 2 and a half minutes. haha!

& daddy cut the cord and watched the ENTIRE thing. he got teary when his head started to crown. i gave birth laying on my left side holding onto the railing and tom holding my right leg up. LOL.

thank god i had a midwife and went completely natural. i only had a heplock in and barely stayed on the monitor. it went smooth and fast! now i'm sore as hell, i had to get some stitches which sucks. i pretty much stood the whole time until my water broke at 8am which made me 10cm and i laid down and started to push right after that. it was incredible! i think everyone should go without the drugs!
